Peter Santos is president and chief executive officer of Audience and is responsible for the company's strategic direction and execution. Santos joined Audience in 2004 and has directed the company's market focus, product development and growth, from early development stage to its current position of market leadership in mobile voice processing. With more than 20 years of experience directing business, product and engineering strategy, he was previously vice president of marketing and business development at Barcelona Design, an analog semiconductor technology company. Prior to that, he was vice president of marketing at DSL systems provider, Voyan Technology, and served as director of services marketing at Cadence Design Systems. Mr. Santos also spent six years at LSI Corp., an ASIC solutions company, where he led worldwide ASIC product marketing, and four years in semiconductor device engineering at Raytheon. Santos holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Colby College and a master's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina.
Kevin Palatnik Chief Financial Officer
Kevin Palatnik is chief financial officer at Audience, responsible for managing the company's finance organization worldwide, including all planning, audit and controller functions. Before joining Audience, Mr. Palatnik spent over 13 years at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., where he most recently served as chief financial officer, leading the global finance team as well as investor relations, information technology and workplace resources. Earlier he held a number of senior financial and operational positions, including corporate controller and corporate vice president, finance and operations. Prior to joining Cadence, Palatnik was chief financial officer for a private application service provider, and had held a series of senior financial roles at IBM. Palatnik holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering and operations research, as well as a master's degree in business administration from Syracuse University.
Edgar Auslander Vice President of Product Management and Marketing
Edgar Auslander has 25 years experience in executive and functional leadership roles with Fortune 100, venture capital and start-up companies. Before Audience, Mr. Auslander was with Qualcomm where he was the vice president of corporate development and strategy, identifying and pursuing acquisitions. Prior to that role, he was vice president of product management, responsible for Qualcomm's chipsets product roadmap planning. Before joining Qualcomm, Mr. Auslander was senior vice president of strategic planning at ST-Ericsson. He has served as a board member for QuickLogic and on the advisory boards of several start-ups. He has also held senior management roles at Intel, VantagePoint Venture Partners, and IXI Mobile, a pioneer in wearable and connected devices. Notably, Mr. Auslander was a founder of Texas Instruments' wireless business unit, holding operational and executive roles. A senior member of IEEE, Mr. Auslander is a published author who holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and Bachelors of Science degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from ESME in France.
Craig Factor Vice President and General Counsel
Craig Factor is vice president and general counsel at Audience and has overall responsibility for all company related legal matters. Prior to joining Audience, Mr. Factor served as vice president and general counsel at Nanosolar, Inc., a solar panel manufacturing company. Prior to his time at Nanosolar, he served as vice president of legal affairs and general counsel at Innovative Silicon, Inc. Mr. Factor also served as general counsel at RITA Medical Systems, Inc. which was acquired by AngioDynamics, Inc.; Artisan Components, Inc., an intellectual property licensing company that was acquired by ARM Holdings plc; and Immersion Corporation , a company which licenses computer technologies that engage the sense of touch. Earlier in his career, he was an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Wiley Rein LLP. Mr. Factor holds an A.B. from Harvard University and a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of New York.
Stephanie Kaplan Vice President of Operations and Program Management
Stephanie Kaplan is vice president of operations and program management for Audience. She oversees manufacturing, supply chain, quality, product engineering, test, facilities and information technology. She is also responsible for the company's end-to-end product development and deployment programs as well as company-wide process improvement. Kaplan joined Audience in 2014 with more than 25 years of experience in R&D and operations strategy serving as vice president of program management and operations for several companies, including PowerVison, Invuity, and Sadra Medical after serving in senior director level positions at Juniper Networks and Intuitive Surgical. As an independent consultant, Kaplan provided strategic guidance to established and start-up medical device companies such as Guidant, Ardian, and FoxHollow. She also worked four years as a management consultant at Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath. Kaplan earned a bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University and a dual MBA in Management of Technology and Operations Management from the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.
Jim Steele Vice President of Engineering
Dr. Jim Steele is Audience's vice president of engineering. He has a track record of leading the successful development of complex algorithms, software, and system engineering for cellular systems, RF communications, memory products and other consumer devices. He is the author of The Android Developer's Cookbook, which was designed to help application developers start working on the Android mobile operating system. The book is a best seller on Amazon. He is also a noted speaker and has given many invited lectures on using sensor technology with Android. In 2014 he joined Audience as part of the Sensor Platforms acquisition. At Sensor platforms he lead engineering as the vice president of engineering. He has also held senior management positions at Spansion, Polaris Wireless and ArrayComm and held academic research positions in theoretical and particle physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Ohio State University. He holds a Ph. D. in theoretical physics from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Robert Schoenfield Vice President Worldwide Sales & Managing Director, China
Robert (Bob) Schoenfield is vice president of worldwide sales & managing director, China. Based in Shanghai, Bob is responsible for all customer operations, relationship management, and executing sales and distribution strategies to meet the unique market requirements of OEMs and partners around the world. Prior to this role he led the Company's marketing and business development functions and was responsible for driving brand awareness, demand generation, product management, product marketing and marketing communications. He also managed the company's engagement with mobile operators worldwide, overseeing partnerships with information service providers, and developing new market and strategic growth opportunities. Prior to joining Audience, he was vice president of sales for North America at Polaris Wireless, where he was responsible for revenue generation and managing customer relationships with wireless carriers, infrastructure providers, and other strategic partners. Before that, he was senior vice president of sales, marketing and business development at Aeris Communications and earlier, led the company's expansion into new markets as president of South America. He also held various executive roles managing sales and business development for Tetra Tech, Inc., and Nextel Communications. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from San Francisco State University.
